This multi-phase project is situated 85 meters above the coastline of the Northumberland Strait. The first phase consists of three two-bedroom cottages, staggered in relation to one another, and aligned on an east/west axis, thus taking full advantage of solar gains and the spectacular views. Each cottage is designed to incorporate many “green” features: the buildings will function off the grid, using evacuated tubes for domestic hot water and space heating, propane for cooking and other appliances, and photovoltaic cells for electricity. Each cottage has a double-height living space with a walk-out terrace off the main living area as well as a large roof-top terrace.
